Having a serious issue on GO!!!!!!!
« on: May 08, 2013, 11:08:07 pm »
So the last few days I've had an issue with GO.  When I join a online server my fps is between 14-25.  When I'm offline, playing CZ whatever else the games play smooth.  I have ran antivirus scans, changed my setttings in GO so the graphics aren't as good and below are the results of a system test I ran from System Requirements Lab and my laptop surpassed all requirements.  Other than my internet being wifi and only the minimum b/c my father in law does not do anything except play solitair I cannot for the life of me figure this one out.  It ran fine for weeks and now its not.  Can anyone help me out with this?  Any ideas?

Finally got it working better after hours of playing around with it.  I disabled the alliasing and in video settings the first option I set it to very low.  I also played around with cmdrate and updaterate to try and help out any.  I now have a little lag going on but not nearly as bad as it was.  I still think I should try and update my bios but I'm unsure how to go about doing it and from what I read it can be tricky.  If anyone would like to assist me with this I would be more than appreciative.

I'll see if I know anyone.. lol

Its usually quite simple. Most have a desktop tool that does it for you.
 - Download the EXE or MSI
 - Run the Accept and Agree Prompts
 - It will ask you to reboot and your done..

For the ones that dont... you download the bios file from there site.. usually .bin file...
 - Download the bios file usualy will be wrapped in a zip file.
 - Extract the Bios File (usually a .BIN)
 - Put it on a Floppy, Flash or CD Drive
 - Reboot the PC and Enter the Bios (Press the Appropriate Key)
 - Navigate you a Section Usually Called "Flash or Update Bios"
       - You can sometimes bypass going into the BIOS and going straight into the Flash Utility. By Pressing the Approritate Key.
 - Backup your Current Bios (If your using a floppy or flash drive)
 - FLASH  your new bios
 - Reboot and your Done.

I might be on later to help.
